Military Medical Insurance Staff Complete Training on Advanced Public Relations and Corporate Communications

On 04 October 2024, six Military Medical Insurance (MMI) staff have completed the 10-day training on advanced public relations and corporate towards international standards held at Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) in Kigali City.   

The aim was to equip the participants with knowledge and high-standard professional skills in indoor and outdoor communications that would benefit employees, employers or institutions, and their stakeholders.

This training was organized by MMI in partnership with RMI with specific objectives: to strategically position organizations, enhance their reputations, raise stakeholder relationships, drive business success, facilitate positive change to innovation, and facilitate crisis management. The training emphasized also on measuring impact and adjusting strategies, to build confidence and trust of employees at work and to support thought leadership.

The training program covered the relevant key points such as engaged listening, speaking, writing policies, briefs and concept notes, reporting and presentation communication skills, taking minutes of meetings.  Barriers to effective communication, duties, and responsibilities of Public relations and corporate communication officers were also highlighted.

During the training, Dr. NTAKIYIMANA Jean Felix Aimable as an expert and facilitator shared his experience with the methodology using adult-centred to stimulate interactions.

At the closing ceremony, the MMI team was urged to apply the skills gained in the completed training and reminded to be more professional leading to a better overall performance at work.
