On 03 September 2025, Rwanda’s Military Medical Insurance (MMI) hosted eight senior officials from Zimbabwe’s National Social Security Authority at 

Rwanda Cooperation Offices in Kacyiru for an exchange on best practices in health insurance.

MMI Director General, Col (Rtd) King R. Kayondo presented the scheme’s policy framework, digital service systems, and key achievements in 

delivering healthcare to security personnel and their dependents. The Zimbabwean delegation praised Rwanda’s model and expressed interest in deeper collaboration.

This engagement highlights Rwanda’s commitment to regional cooperation and to strengthening public service delivery across Africa.
